5 All-Natural Body Care Products We Buy

Monday Top 5 is a new feature aimed at inspiring you to make healthier choices …

Through our personal journey to live a less toxic life, we are committing ourselves to try out healthier alternative products available on the market. We will be uncovering our current favourites on a Monday according to the featured category.

We are looking to highlight products that actually work and products you can feel good about buying! Why? Because they are safer for you, your family and the environment 🙂

5 All-Natural Body Care Products we are using right now ….

The world is slowly becoming aware of the importance of non toxic body care products. Nowadays we have a wider range of brands to choose from that are not only safe to use but also effective. When shopping for toiletries, don’t forget to check out the ingredients just as you would when buying packaged food.

Hot Tip: Try to avoid products that contain “the dirty dozen” toxic ingredients; Parabens, Phthalates, Sodium Laurel Sulfate, PEG compounds like Propylene glycol, DEA, Formaldehyde-releasing preservatives, Triclosan, Butylated hydroxytoluene (BHT), Siloxanes, Coal tar dyes, Petrolatum and Fragrance or parfum.

And now, a few of our current body care favourites, in no particular order of preference, because we love them all equally ……

1. Dr Bronner’s 18-in-1 Hemp Peppermint Pure-Castile Soap

This product is a little bit special to say the least! Not only does it last ages but it claims to have 18 uses! I mainly use it as a body wash and this particular scent works great for a foot soak. I have also tried it as a shampoo. Other potential uses; household cleaner, laundry wash, shaving, pest spray, clearing congestion and more.

It comes in 8 different scents (Almond, Baby Unscented, Rose, Lavendar, Citrus, Tea Tree, Eucalyptus and Peppermint) and is all-natural, paraben free, organic and fair trade.

2. Dr. Bronner’s & All-One Organic Lotion for Hands & Body, Peppermint

I love using this lotion; it smells great, moisturizes well and according to the Dr. Bronner’s website it is “gentle enough to be used anywhere — hands, face or body.” A small amount goes a long way so this lotion will last long. It is made with pure organic oils free of synthetic ingredients and preservatives. Organic jojoba oil moisturizes dry skin exceptionally well due to its unique similarity to the skin’s natural oils, organic coconut oil assists with absorption, while organic hemp and avocado oils help keep skin smooth and supple.

Special Offer on Dr Bronner’s

We love this brand so much we have contacted the suppliers to organize a 10% discount to all our readers!

Email info@coregreen.eu or call 79603455 and mention Fit Malta Mums when placing any order that includes any one of the above Dr Bronner’s products (any scent).

Offer is valid until end of April 2017.

3. Salt of the Earth Spray

I am totally crushing on this natural deodorant at the moment! Unscented and easy to use thanks to the spray version and so far, it works like a charm!

What happens when you spray? It leaves a thin layer of natural mineral salts on your skin which inhibit the growth of bacteria. It is free from Aluminium chlorohydrate, alcohol, CFC’s, propellents and parabens.

4. Organyc Super Plus Tampons

I’ve been using the Organyc range for quite some time now and I’ve become very loyal to this brand.

These tampons are made from 100% organic cotton, are wood-pulp free and don’t contain any synthetics or chlorine – making them an obvious, safer choice for us women.

5. MGO Manuka Lip Balm

Love to get lippy with this fantastic lip balm. Many have named it as the perfect sidekick this winter which is not a surprise since it moisturizes, softens and nourishes dry, chapped lips. Made from Manuka Honey, Beeswax, Carrot Seed Oil, Wheat Germ Oil & Cocoa Butter – a fantastic combo of 100% natural ingredients.
