Introducing Lindsay, new contributor to Fit Malta Mums

Exciting News!

Another regular contributor is about to join our Fit Malta Mums community and we are thrilled! Friends, give a warm welcome to Lindsay; wife, home-maker and stay at home mummy to three girls aged four and under.

Before marriage and babies, Lindsay left Malta for London in search of a career in marketing, stumbled into working in social media, and followed her heart to fundraise full time for a wonderful charity called We See Hope.

“My heart was always to be a stay at home mama, so when our eldest came along I waved goodbye to my 9 to 5 role and threw myself headfirst into life at home. In this intense season of life with little people I have found a much needed creative outlet in my blog. I write mostly about motherhood and living simply and intentionally, in a way that I hope is honest and encouraging.”

Lindsay now lives with her family in South West London. We highly recommend you check out her blog My Every Day Matters which is also available to follow on Facebook and Instagram.

What to expect from Lindsay?

My right now is coloured by life with a young family, the pursuit of simplicity and intentionally seeking out small steps towards a greener home and cleaner lifestyle. I joke about being an accidental minimalist and eco-mama. If I can do it, anyone can!

My goal is to inspire and encourage mothers to embrace their everyday, to step out and try new things, and to see the beauty in simple living.

You can expect all of this as I collaborate with Fit Malta Mums.

Favourite book? I am a voracious reader, so that’s a hard one to answer. The one book that I come back to (mostly) daily, is the Bible. It is alive with promise and hope, the ultimate marriage proposal, love letter and life manual that tells the greatest redemptive story of all time.

Something you make time for every day? Reading my bible, reading a book, and reading to my daughters. I love to learn, to see life through the lens of other people’s experiences, and to apply any new ideas I come across to my own every day. I prioritise reading with my girls, even squeezing in a book or two before the school run, because I believe a love for reading is one of the greatest gifts I can give them.

What makes you the happiest? Being with my husband and three daughters. My heart is most full when we are all in the moment together, like making shadow puppets in the dark in our girls’ room before bedtime, or out exploring someplace green and watching my girls faces light up as they discover something new.

Three things you can’t live without? My family, my faith, and dark chocolate (not necessarily in that order).

What’s your “super-power”? My faith in Jesus. I believe that “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me”. (Philippeans 4:13).

Living a healthy life means … taking care of your body, soul and spirit, and living life through the lens of eternity.

Words to live by? Love fiercely, live simply, make every day matter.
