Learn to Headstand; Part 1

Fit Malta Mums has teamed up with the lovely Anchelique Fjœre to bring you a 3-part video tutorial on HOW TO headstand!

Roll out your mats and get ready to discover the wonderful world of inversions …..

LEARN TO HEADSTAND; PART 1

  1. Plank position (Hold this for 30 seconds)
  2. Knee to Elbow Tuck (x 10)
  3. Side plank Left (Hold this for 30 seconds)
  4. Side plank Right (Hold this for 30 seconds)
  5. Forearm plank (Hold this for 30 seconds)
  6. Forearm side plank left (Hold this for 30 seconds)
  7. Forearm side plank right (Hold this for 30 seconds)
  8. Locust Lifts (x 10)
  9. Hold baby Cobra (5 breaths)
  10. Alternating Knee to Chest (x10)
  11. Knees-to-Chest to Boat Pose (x 10)
  12. Downward facing dog (5 breaths)
  13. Dolphin pose (5 breaths)
  14. Step on the palms of your hands to stretch out the wrists and the hamstrings (5 breaths)
  15. Rest in Child’s Pose (5 breaths)

Repeat this every day for a week to build strength to be able to move on to the next phase!
